Jeffrey T. Varsalone

Sr. Managing Director

Background

Jeff is a Sr. Managing Director at Iron Eagle Capital and the Founder of VRS Restructuring Services, LLC (“VRS”). With over 25 years of experience in distressed transactions, including restructuring, turnaround, workouts, going concern asset sales and representing various stakeholders and parties-in-interest in out of court restructurings and chapter 11 bankruptcies.​

Jeff routinely serves as a Chief Restructuring Officer, assists clients with liquidity solutions, assesses business plan viability, structures plans of reorganization and conducts recapitalization and asset sale processes. Jeff has prepared expert reports on the solvency and valuation of distressed businesses and has testified in U.S. Bankruptcy Courts on a variety of issues. His experience covers a wide range of industries including Consumer & Retail, Energy, Healthcare, Industrials & Manufacturing, Real Estate & Hospitality, Technology, Media & Business Services, and Transportation & Logistics.

Prior to Iron Eagle Capital and VRS, Jeff led the Crisis Management & Insolvency Services group at a boutique investment bank and restructuring firm.  He also spent several years in leadership roles in the restructuring groups of three of the largest accounting and financial advisory firms in the U.S., as well as the special situations group of another investment bank. Jeff started his career in restructuring in New York City at a boutique law firm after earning his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law, where he served as an editor for the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review.

Jeff is an active member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, where he serves as the Northeast Regional Chair of the Development Committee for the ABI Endowment Fund and on the advisory board of the ABI Northeast Regional Conference. Jeff is also an active member of the Turnaround Management Association, the Commercial Finance Association and the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors.

Konstantin A. Danilov, CFA

Managing Director

Background

Konstantin is a Managing Director at Iron Eagle Capital & VRS Restructuring Services, LLC (“VRS”), with over 15 years of experience in distressed transactions, including restructuring, turnaround, workouts, going concern asset sales and representing various stakeholders and parties-in-interest in out of court restructurings and chapter 11 bankruptcies.

Prior to VRS and Iron Eagle Capital, Konstantin was a Director at a boutique investment bank and restructuring firm, and prior to that, Konstantin was a Manager at Analysis Group, one of the largest private economics consulting firms globally, where he specialized in financial analysis related to bankruptcy, reorganization, and related matters. He has experience with matters involving complex restructuring challenges in some of the largest, most complex bankruptcies in history, including Lehman Brothers, ResCap, General Motors, Polaroid, Paragon Offshore and others. Prior to joining Analysis Group, he was a senior investment analyst at Manulife Financial, where he helped oversee the implementation of restructuring initiatives for the company's $3B pension plan.

Konstantin holds a Master of Science in Management/Master of Business Administration double-degree from the MIT Sloan School of Management and HEC Paris. He received the MIT Sloan Outstanding Thesis Award for his thesis titled “Corporate Bankruptcy: Assessment, Analysis, and Prediction” and was also the recipient of the HEC Paris Academic Award. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute.

Konstantin has published articles in various outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors (AIRA) Journal, the Journal of Corporate Renewal, the Journal of Investment Management, Law360, and others. Konstantin is also member of the MIT CFO Summit Leadership Committee, and previously on the editorial board of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors Journal.

Matthew Ball

VICE PRESIDENT

Background

Matthew Ball is a Vice President at Iron Eagle Capital, where he leads sponsor coverage and business development, partnering with private equity firms, lenders, and strategic investors to identify opportunities, navigate distressed and special-situation M&A processes, and drive successful outcomes across multiple industries.

With a background spanning investment banking, investment management, and corporate advisory, Matthew brings a practical, results-oriented approach to every engagement. Prior to joining Iron Eagle, he spent six years at a regional investment bank, where he executed buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions across industrial, business services, and transportation markets.

Scott Prol

VICE PRESIDENT

Background

Scott Prol is a Vice President at Iron Eagle Capital & VRS Restructuring Services, LLC (“VRS”). Scott has over 15 years’ experience in business advisory, consulting and audit services with expertise in restructuring, bankruptcy, and litigation support.

Scott’s experience includes working as a financial advisor to Chief Restructuring Officer’s, debtors, unsecured creditors’ committees, trustees, plan administrators, and other parties-in-interest in numerous bankruptcy proceedings. His experience also includes liquidation and wind down management, claims administration, and litigation support in connection with fraudulent conveyance and preference litigation. Scott’s experience includes but is not limited to the following industries: healthcare, industrials and manufacturing, consumer and retail, transportation and logistics, construction and technology.

Prior to joining VRS, Scott worked for a regional investment bank where he specialized in advising middle market companies and stakeholders in special situations, reorganizations, and bankruptcy proceedings. Scott worked for a top 10 financial advisory and accounting firm where he worked in their national Corporate Recovery & Litigation Services practice. Prior to that, Scott was a senior auditor in the firms audit practice, and an intern for Corporate Recovery & Litigation Services practice for approximately 2 years.
